WILLIAMS: Big 12 Week 12 ATS Picks – CycloneFanatic.com

last week: 2-3
For the price difference per year: 34-28

TCU (-2.5) at Baylor – No doubt this looks like a ruthless trap for the general bettors. With TCU coming off a convincing wizard win in Austin and Baylor being defeated by Kansas State, it looks like this spread should be a plus touchdown. However, I put up less than a field goal despite my better judgment, I’m still with a team that’s been more consistent all season. I’m afraid I’ll regret it, but I’m honestly cheering the Horned Frogs and the Big 12 to get a playoff berth.

Pick: TCU 31, Baylor 27

Kansas State (-7.5) at West Virginia – Is there a college football team that is harder to feature on a weekly basis than Kansas State? I honestly have no idea anymore when it comes to picking Wildcat games. My hunch here is that Vegas just wants to take West Virginia, hence the hook at 7.5. I will not bite.

Texas (-9) at Kansas – It’s been six years since Texas covered a point spread against Kansas. Last year, of course, the Longhorns lost to the then-lowly Jayhawks. I actually understand why the spread is where it is, but it’s still a lot of pips. How motivated will Texas be this weekend? I can’t imagine that. Meanwhile for Kansas, Texas is still coming to town. Quick note: Steve Sarkisian is 11-11 in his two seasons at Texas. Tom Hermann made and won the Sugar Bowl against Georgia in his second season at the helm.

Texas Tech at Iowa (-3.5) – It’s a game that even given the circumstances surrounding a disappointing season, Iowa still has to win. It’s going to be a cold Saturday night in Ames, and I personally prefer a team with an elite defense, which is Iowa State. Much like the West Virginia game a few weeks ago. I have a huge amount of respect for the upcoming Texas Tech coaching staff and I don’t think the Red Raiders will ever roll over on that team.

Pick: Iowa State 20, Texas Tech 14

Oklahoma State at Oklahoma (-7.5) – I’ve seen enough Oklahoma State this past week to not be impressed. Iowa State was supposed to win that game by 3 points but has turned the football over five times, which is a death wish for any football team. Of course, Spencer Sanders plays a huge difference in Cowboys. But if he’s so healthy, why didn’t Sanders play last week against the Hurricanes? Very strange.

Pick: Oklahoma 34, Oklahoma State 24
