Vodafone Ghana has partnered with TotalEnergies Marketing Ghana PLC to provide Wi-Fi for customers visiting petrol stations, oil bays, restaurants and its newly launched electric vehicle (EV) charging stations.
WLAN Internet access is free for TotalEnergies customers on all networks.
Based on Vodafone Ghana’s Enterprise Wi-Fi service, the partnership underscores the company’s commitment to reaching more customers with fast, accessible and reliable wireless internet solutions.
With Vodafone Ghana’s Internet solution, customers remain reliably connected whenever they visit TotalEnergies petrol stations. It also promotes employee efficiency and productivity as they can work from anywhere on the premises.
Referring to this collaboration, Tawa Bolarin, Director of Enterprise Business Unit at Vodafone Ghana, said the initiative will allow Vodafone Ghana to expand internet connectivity for its customers no matter where they are located.
“We use this partnership to improve the customer experience in Internet connectivity. Recently, more and more people are working remotely, sometimes multitasking in different places.
“As a company whose trademark has been to drive the country’s digital transformation, we are excited to expand Wi-Fi access for Ghanaians through our partnership with TotalEnergies.”
Tawa praised TotalEnergies’ innovation and announced that customers can expect the service in many more locations in the coming months.
“We are particularly excited to partner with TotalEnergies in the launch of this service, which offers free Wi-Fi powered by Vodafone Ghana at select TotalEnergies stations. This location is the first of many – by the end of 2022 there will be three more locations in Accra and Kumasi,” she announced.
“For Vodafone Ghana, this is another milestone on our digital transformation journey. We are proud to partner with Total Energies on this venture,” she concluded.
TotalEnergies Marketing Ghana PLC Managing Director, Olufemi Babajide, explained that partnerships with the private and public sectors are crucial to accelerate change and foster innovation and new technologies.
