Vertiv Introduces New, Compact Cooling Solution for Edge Applications in India

Vertiv, a global provider of critical digital infrastructure and continuity solutions, has launched the new Vertiv™ Liebert® SRC-G thermal management solution for the edge of the network in India. The new solution offers high uptime and efficiency to small critical infrastructures while requiring “zero” indoors. Liebert SRC-G is now available in India.

Available in capacities from 3kW to 11kW, the wall-mounted Liebert® SRC-G occupies no “white space” and provides year-round cooling for IT equipment. The CE certified Liebert SRC-G series can support reasonable load operation all year round. It is equipped with energy efficient technologies including EC fans, R410A refrigerant and rotary or scroll compressors. The Liebert SRC-G also features an advanced controller, including remote monitoring capabilities for added intelligence when managing edge IT sites.

“Vertiv understands the growing complexity of managing computers at the network edge,” said Andy Liu, Vertiv’s director of integrated rack solutions in Asia. “Availability, efficiency and agility are critical to our customers and our new offerings address these needs with a highly efficient space cooling system for small IT rooms. Additionally, the efficiency features can help support our customers’ sustainability strategies in the data center space.”

The Liebert SRC-G can withstand an outside temperature of up to 48 degrees Celsius and comes with a hydrophilic coated coil and a high-efficiency EC fan with a high airflow of over 255 CMH/kW. It has an advanced monitoring and control system specially designed for plant room applications, a self-diagnostic function that supports the service/maintenance process and drastically reduces the response time.

“With growing concerns about global warming, our world is experiencing warmer temperatures than before, with data centers and IT infrastructure sites being no exception. Therefore, equipping small technical rooms – such as UPS and battery rooms, IT rooms, control rooms, VFD rooms, electrical rooms and ATMs – with thermal management solutions is crucial, especially in countries with tropical climates like India,” he said, Liu. “As a leader in flexible, adaptable solutions, at Vertiv we continually adapt and innovate our solution portfolio to keep pace with the changing business and environmental landscape.”
