He continued: “This is where I rediscovered my love for MCR, especially on the second album. I really want an emo ripper in the album. But I don’t think it fits. after the demo I decided I really needed to write this song. It’s about the moments shortly after a close friend was nearly killed in a car accident. In a way, this incident was the trigger for many of the themes on this album. And writing about it was a very emotional way to end the process of the album.”

Produced by Chris Coady (TV on Radio, Yeah Yeah Yeahs), the press release describes My Guardian Angel as a “deep tone that matches Armstrong’s artistic ambition. Impeccably titled “VR Sex,” new wave romance (“Rocket,” “I Wanna Lose”), and synth-pop (“I Watched Them Go”), this album demonstrates a talent for Armstrong’s compositions combined with the musical creations of Kevin Judd and brothers Chris and Enzo Malaspina conceived and recorded for maximum impact.”

“Emotional growing pain sleepless night Romance that doesn’t exist And the idea of a sound so closely tied to memory is included in the clever guitar playing that is reminiscent of the band’s founding influences. The words cling to the feelings we thought were going to slip away from us in our faded and tarnished adulthood. To be honest, those feelings reappear as we get older.”
