MACAU, Sept. 20 – Starting today, eligible seniors can submit their old-age pension claims without leaving their home through the Macau One Account mobile app or website. The system automatically calculates the amount of old-age pension that the applicant can receive based on their actual circumstances and displays the applicant’s basic information. Applicants only need to provide bank account details and perform facial recognition to complete the application process. The steps are simple and there is no need to personally visit a service point throughout the process.
Whether over 65 years old, over 60 years old but under 65 years old, beneficiaries of the Social Security system who were registered before January 1, 2011 (old system) or after the date (new system), as long as the beneficiary meets the requirements for the Admissions Fulfilled Contributions for at least 60 months and habitual residence in Macau for at least seven years, he/she can apply for a retirement pension without leaving home by logging into the Macau One Account mobile app or website sign up.
Upon accessing the Macau One Account Old Age Pension Application Page, the system will display information such as the amount of old age pension the applicant can receive, the accumulated contribution months and the age percentage for early retirement. Old-age pension, if any, based on applicant’s actual circumstances. After confirming the information, he/she will be taken to the application information page. The system automatically displays basic information such as the applicant’s name and beneficiary number. The applicant only has to select the recipient bank and enter the personal MOP bank account number. If required, the applicant can also change their address in the Social Security Fund records and then upload the bank information photo showing the bank name, account name, account number and currency. After verifying that all application information is correct and following the prompts to complete face recognition, the application can be submitted successfully. The steps are very simple. The web version steps are the same, but the applicant must use a mobile device with face recognition capability, e.g. B. a mobile phone to support the face recognition step. After completing the application, the beneficiary can check the status of their application at any time by logging into the Macau One Account.
