Ozark Fiber Acquires Missouri Telecom’s Residential and SMB Internet and Voice Business

MONETT, Mo. – (working wire) – Effective January 1, 2023, Ozark Fiber has acquired Missouri Telecom’s Internet and voice businesses for residential, small and medium-sized businesses in Monett, MO and surrounding areas.

“We are thrilled to welcome Missouri Telecom customers to the Ozark Fiber family,” said Jason Ross, President of Ozark Fiber. “We are excited to be able to offer improved speeds and reliability, and to expand on the relationships Missouri Telecom has built, as we bring customers to our new and evolving fiber platforms and network.”

Ozark Fiber began building its high-speed fiber-optic network at Monnet last September and will launch services in the first quarter of 2023. Missouri Telecom customers will be transitioned to Ozark Fiber’s network and voice platforms by the second quarter of 2023.

Ozark Fiber will offer Internet service at speeds unparalleled in the region. Initially, Ozark Fiber will launch at speeds of up to 2 Gbps (Gigabits per second), and in the future it will provide up to 10 Gbps. Their fiber service provides symmetric internet speeds, eliminating network congestion and enabling higher bandwidth technologies and services of the future. Services will include ‘Managed WiFi’, allowing the customer to seamlessly connect and manage their wireless devices on the network.

Ozark Viper understands the importance of the customer experience and is proud to be an integral part of every community it serves. While other companies are leveraging remote workers and outbound call centers, Ozark Fiber is investing in local brick-and-mortar stores staffed with friendly team members from the local community. “Our core values are putting our customers first in all decisions,” stated Mr. Ross. “That’s why we have a ‘no gimmick’ philosophy that includes simple pricing, no data caps, and no contracts.”

Ozark Fiber has a local business office located in downtown Monet at 219 E Broadway Street that hires technicians and customer service representatives from the local community.
