Since its debut in 2013 man of steel, The film that gave birth to the DCEU, Henry Cavill is beginning to be recognized as the best adaptation of Superman in cinema history. Audiences who witnessed the actor’s performance were immediately wowed by his flawless portrayal of the superhero with an emotional subplot about his past that helped his character gain more depth and emotional value from the audience.
But, due to unfortunate circumstances within Warner Bros. Discovery executives James Gunn and Peter Safran decided to ditch Cavill’s version of the caped crusader in order to revamp the DCEU in their new vision for Disaster Controller. Many people were unhappy with this outcome, and accused the studios of disrespecting the actor and the hard work he had put into bringing the character to life. But it looks like there might actually be a successor to Henry Cavill, who just so happens to be a true hero of the country!

When WB Discovery first announced that the current DCEU was being canceled Warner Bros. They also announced that Henry Cavill would hang on to the mantle in perpetuity. This means that the excitement that audiences felt when they heard of his return as Superman in V.I.E.L.D Black Adam In an instant, their anger and resentment surged forward. Threats and cyberbullying of CEOs James Gunn and Peter Safran by fans of Cavill and the DCEU followed.

But after the recent announcement by Andrew List, a U.S. Army veteran and founder of A-List Productions, fans are starting to think they’ve already redeemed Superman’s legacy in the form of his next crowd-funded fan movie titled Superman: Solar. The film stars military veteran Glenn Keel, whom List met during his service days in the US Army. in describing him Indiegogo Crowdfunding page, List mentions his motivations and inspirations for making this movie. He said:
“Superman has always been important in my life and has always been my favorite character in any media. What has always drawn me to the character go beyond powers and abilities. It’s his humanity, he chooses to live as one of us to understand our problems…and he cares the same way, while doing things on a grand scale like saving the Earth.” From alien invasions, he’s also the same guy who stops to help you change your bike to a tire on the side of the road, that’s what I’ve always loved about Superman.”
With his idea of returning the caped crusader to his roots based on the reality of the duties he took upon himself, List attempts to distill the image of the superhero into a national hero.

What’s next for Henry Cavill?
After leaving the DCEU franchise, Henry Cavill is now looking to build a cinematic universe with him at the helm of the proposed film Love Hammer 40,000 Web series by Amazon Prime Video. Cavill himself is quite a nerd when it comes to video games and literature, and also happens to be a fan of backgammon. Hence, this series also serves as his passion project.
