“I used to get shy at parties and I knew if I could do some magic tricks for people, it would instantly break down social barriers and allow me to connect,” Zak said.

“I have always been fascinated by how magic can generate a childlike wonder in a person.”

As Zack grew up, so did his skills as a modern-day magician, and in 2008 he began posting YouTube videos and teasing the magic of the World Wide Web.

With no plans to slow down, “Final Cut King” has been mesmerizing the internet with his social media post ever since.

Although his videos focus on magic tricks, the real magic actually lies in the mind-boggling stop-motion video editing.

“I still really love magic and learning tricks,” Zak admitted.

“But I don’t have the time outside of the work required to perfect them like a pro.”

Zack has certainly garnered an impressive following over the years, but he also attributes much of his viral success to an early start.

“I’m a big believer in getting on platforms early. My team was working on TikTok when it was still called Musical.ly,” said Zak.

“When I rebranded to TikTok, my account already had a large following, so it gave us a head start on engaging with a lot of creators.”

Before he became a favorite prankster on social media, Zach was creating content from his college dorm room.

In fact, he was just a freshman at Biola University, studying film and media arts, when his first YouTube video went viral.

“At the time, a million views would have been considered viral. It was really exciting, and it gave me the motivation to try to keep creating more viral content,” Zak said.

“I never thought I would finally get a world record!”

Although it’s not the most popular video he’s made to date, one of Zach’s favorite videos features a camping concept where he builds a fort in his living room with his sons.

“The overarching fort is a gateway to a beautiful mountaintop that lights a campfire,” Zak said.

“It was very special because I did it with my sons, but also because it was the first time we built a set on a mountain and also the first time we posted behind the scenes how to make it.”

But despite all of Zach’s efforts at crafting the perfect digital illusions, he says the most viewed videos tend to be the most spontaneous.

“I remember during one of the team meetings we realized Halloween was coming and we thought of an idea that used mirrors to make it look like I was flying on a broom,” said Zach.

“We shot this video one afternoon with me and two other people.”

Like every good magician, Zack needed helpers to reach social media stardom.

The TikTok scammer credits his parents for giving him his first camcorder and inspiring him to pursue his movie dreams.

“They taught me and my siblings at home, which gave us more time to invest in our passion,” said Zack.

“They have been a great encouragement to me, and I wouldn’t be where I am today without them.”

Over the years, Zach has received numerous awards including the Hewlett-Packard Commercial Contest, YouTube’s NextUp Creators Contest, and Best Vine Artist at the 8th Annual Shorty Awards.

He has also been recognized as one of the 25 Most Promising Young Directors in America.

But Zack was especially excited to find out about his latest Guinness World Records title.

“I grew up reading the Guinness Books of Records, and I always thought it would be cool to one day have a world record,” Zak said.

“When I found out I officially had a world record, I was so excited, it was so surreal!”

Moving forward, Zak hopes to pursue more than just bringing magic and wonder to the world through social media; He would like to move towards directing action and adventure feature films.

We don’t think he’d need magic to make it happen.
