The Road Safety World Series 2022 match between Sachin Tendulkar’s India Legends and Ross Taylor’s New Zealand Legends was abandoned Monday at Holkar Cricket Stadium in Indore due to rain.
Remarkably, India Legends, who were asked to bat first, scored 49 runs in 5.5 overs before the rain spoiled the game. Tendulkar played some fantastic shots during his 13-ball stay in the crease before rain hit and the wet outfield forced the umpires to abandon play.
It is worth noting that this is the second game in a row where rain prevented the fans from watching Tendulkar & Co mesmerize them again as the last game of India Legends vs West Indies Legends was also abandoned due to rain in Kanpur .
Speaking of the points table, with four points from 3 games, India Legends still sit third in the T20 standings of the Road Safety World Series.
The legend team from New Zealand, on the other hand, is currently fifth in the point table with three points from just as many games.
