Jake Gyllenhaal (Ambulance) is a soldier on a mission to pay off a debt in Guy Ritchie’s first trailer. The covenant.
Gyllenhaal plays John Kinley, a US Army sergeant whose team is ambushed by the Taliban. Kinley is seriously wounded and about to die, but his group’s Afghan interpreter, Ahmed (Curve ball Dar Salim), intervenes and saves the sergeant’s life. After the ambush, Ahmed hides from the Taliban, because he and his family did not get safe passage to America as previously promised. In debt to Ahmed, Kinley fights his way back to the war zone to save Ahmed and his family before the Taliban reach them.

The Oscar nominee starred in Antoine Fuqua’s leading role The guilty in the To Michael Bay Ambulance, and will headline Doug Liman’s upcoming remake road house like Dalton. Gyllenhaal will also star in Apple TV+’s Presumed innocent, based on the 1990 legal thriller starring Harrison Ford.
